"Breathe" by Patricia Shirer (2/15-3/21)
This 5-week study is based on making room for Sabbath. Priscilla Shirer says, “One of the greatest challenges among women in our culture is taking time to cease from all the activities and just breathe. We are in bondage to busyness. We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all that God has for us. By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christlikeness and miss out on some of God's greatest gifts. If you are weary, worn out, and exhausted, then the concept of Sabbath will change your life.”
"The Faithful" by Patricia Shirer and friends (3/28-4/25)
This 5-week study “explores crucial moments in the lives of five Old Testament figures—Esther, Gideon, Malachi, Nehemiah, and Hosea. Through their stories, discover how God uses the lives of ordinary people for His glory and the good of His people. Strengthen your faith as you walk alongside these larger-than-life figures who all chose to obey God no matter the circumstances.”
Each week will have light homework. The sessions include a small group discussion based on the previous week’s homework and a video lecture.
The Breathe book is $13 and The Faithful book is $18. Books will be available for purchase on the first day of class.
