Serving Christ, Serving Others

Jesus came not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45). Following Jesus’ example of service, He has called us to not only make disciples of all nations, but to serve our community and the world as well.

This service heart begins in our own community and spreads to our state, our nation, and our world. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries, both inside the church and beyond.

Members of Living Stones Church have sponsored Compassion International Children for years. Christian-based sponsorship makes a difference around the world as members regularly write letters to their children, pray for them and provide financial support to ensure they receive a strong Christian education, medical care and food. Through these sponsorships, children build a relationship with Christ, overcome poverty and improve the lives of their families.

At the end of the Letter to the Colossians, the apostle Paul shares with us his Dream Team – a group of men and women who served alongside him in sharing the love of Jesus with the people they encountered each day (Colossians 4:7-14). Members of his Dream Team had different gifts that they used in service. We need our Living Stones Dream Team to do the same.
