Living Stones Leadership Team

Lead Pastor

Pastor Scott accepted Christ while in college, then felt called to full-time ministry in 2001. He holds a Master of Divinity degree with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is pursuing his doctorate degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky.
Before answering God’s call to start Living Stones Church, Scott worked as a student pastor at churches in Georgia and Texas. He then spent three years as a campus pastor. During this time, he fell in love with church planting before stepping out in faith and launching Living Stones in 2017.
Scott, and his wife Charlotte, met through Campus Crusade for Christ in Atlanta. They married in 2000. Charlotte teaches in Lamar Consolidated ISD. Scott and Charlotte are devoted parents to three awesome children.

In his spare time, Scott likes to read anything and everything, hang out with his family, and watch Alabama football.

Children’s Ministry Director

Amanda answered the call to serve as the Children’s Ministry Director at Living Stones in 2017. She and her husband, John, who married in 2003, have three children ranging in age from high school to elementary school.
After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Early Childhood Development, Amanda taught kindergarten for two years in the Texas public school system. After she and John welcomed their first child, she stayed home to focus on their family, always playing an active volunteer role in their church.
Amanda was a volunteer co-children’s leader and nursery coordinator for a church plant in Bentonville, Arkansas, for two years. After moving to Katy, Texas, she served as a Sunday School teacher, VBS volunteer, preschool council board member, and a children’s event volunteer before being named West Campus Children’s Coordinator.

ERIC BALLARD Family Pastor

Before joining Living Stones in 2018 to work with students and LifeGroups, Eric served in youth and collegiate ministry for more than 17 years in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Texas. He spent too many of his formative years working towards a B.S. in Educational Psychology from Mississippi State University and a Masters in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Eric and his wife, Kandace, met while small group leaders at a youth retreat. Since then, according to Eric, Kandace has considered herself the luckiest girl on earth (that is the absolute truth so there is no need to mention this to her). They have two brilliant and beautiful daughters, Kya and Bailey, who luckily take after their mother more than their father.
Eric is the author of several books and believes his illustrious soccer career was cut too short, so most nights he still sits by the phone waiting for the Houston Dynamo to finally call him up.
